Haier Error Codes
Haier (Tundra / Flexis / MRV) shows E/F codes on wired/wireless controllers; outdoor 7-segment shows fault data.
E1
Indoor ↔ outdoor communication error
- Cause:
- Open interconnect or PCB fault
- Action:
- Check P/Q/E wiring and PCBs.
E2
Indoor coil freeze protection
- Cause:
- Low airflow / low charge
- Action:
- Clean filters and coil, check fan and charge.
E3
Indoor fan motor abnormal
- Cause:
- Stalled / failed fan
- Action:
- Test fan motor and PCB driver.
E4
Indoor room thermistor fault
- Cause:
- Open / short room sensor
- Action:
- Replace room thermistor.
E5
Indoor coil thermistor fault
- Cause:
- Open / short coil sensor
- Action:
- Replace coil thermistor.
E7
Eeprom error
- Cause:
- Indoor PCB EEPROM fault
- Action:
- Replace indoor PCB.
E9
Drain pump / water level fault
- Cause:
- Drain trip
- Action:
- Clear drain, test pump and float.
EE
Indoor unit memory data error
- Cause:
- EEPROM corrupt
- Action:
- Replace indoor PCB.
F1
Outdoor ambient sensor fault
- Cause:
- Open / short OAT sensor
- Action:
- Replace OAT thermistor.
F2
Outdoor condenser pipe sensor fault
- Cause:
- Open / short coil sensor
- Action:
- Replace coil thermistor.
F3
Outdoor discharge pipe sensor fault
- Cause:
- Open / short Td sensor
- Action:
- Replace discharge sensor.
F4
Outdoor suction sensor fault
- Cause:
- Open / short suction sensor
- Action:
- Replace suction sensor.
F6
High-pressure protection
- Cause:
- Blocked condenser, overcharge
- Action:
- Inspect condenser, fan and charge.
F7
Low-pressure protection
- Cause:
- Undercharge / blocked filter
- Action:
- Leak test and recharge.
F8
Compressor IPM module protection
- Cause:
- Overcurrent / IPM failure
- Action:
- Megger compressor, replace inverter.
F9
Discharge temperature too high
- Cause:
- Low charge, EEV stuck
- Action:
- Check charge, EEV and Td sensor.
FC
Outdoor DC fan motor error
- Cause:
- Stalled / failed outdoor fan
- Action:
- Test fan motor and driver.
