Toshiba (RAS / SMMS / SHRM) shows alphanumeric check codes on the wired controller; outdoor PCB has 7-segment display.

F01

Indoor TCJ sensor (coil out) error

Cause:
Open / short TCJ sensor
Action:
Replace TCJ thermistor.

F02

Indoor TC2 sensor (coil) error

Cause:
Open / short TC2 sensor
Action:
Replace TC2 thermistor.

F03

Indoor TC1 sensor (coil in) error

Cause:
Open / short TC1 sensor
Action:
Replace TC1 thermistor.

F04

Outdoor TD1 (discharge) sensor error

Cause:
Open / short Td sensor
Action:
Replace TD1 sensor.

F06

Outdoor TE / TS sensor error

Cause:
Open / short outdoor coil/suction sensor
Action:
Replace affected sensor.

Outdoor TL (liquid) sensor error

Cause:
Open / short TL sensor
Action:
Replace TL sensor.

Cause:
Open / short OAT sensor
Action:
Replace TO sensor.

Open / short TA sensor
Action:

Action:

Compressor break-down (overcurrent)

Cause:
IPM overcurrent / locked rotor
Action:
Megger compressor, replace inverter.

H02

Compressor locked

Cause:
Mechanical seizure or wiring
Action:
Test compressor windings and replace if seized.

H03

Current detection circuit error

Cause:
CT or PCB fault
Action:
Replace outdoor PCB.

L03

Duplicated indoor header unit

Cause:
Two indoor headers set on group
Action:
Re-address indoor units.

L08

Indoor group/address not set

Cause:
Missing address after install
Action:
Run auto-address.

L29

Number of outdoor units error

Cause:
OD count mismatch
Action:
Check OD DIP and wiring.

P03

Discharge temperature TD1 too high

Cause:
Low charge, EEV closed
Action:
Check charge, EEV, Td sensor.

P04

High-pressure switch trip

Cause:
Blocked condenser, overcharge
Action:
Clean condenser, check fan and charge.

P05

Reverse phase / open phase (3-ph)

Cause:
Wrong phase rotation or missing phase
Action:
Swap any two phases or fix supply.

P07

Heat-sink (IGBT) overheat

Cause:
Inverter heatsink too hot
Action:
Clean heatsink, check fan and paste.

P22

Outdoor fan motor error

Cause:
Stalled / failed fan
Action:
Test fan and driver.

P26

Compressor inverter IPM short-circuit

Cause:
IPM fault
Action:
Replace inverter PCB.

P29

Compressor position detection error

Cause:
Inverter PCB or compressor wiring
Action:
Check leads, replace inverter if needed.
