LG Error Codes
LG (Multi V, Multi Split, single splits) shows CHxx codes on wired controllers; wireless units flash indoor LEDs.
CH01
Indoor air thermistor open/short
- Cause:
- Faulty return air sensor
- Action:
- Replace indoor air thermistor.
CH02
Indoor inlet pipe thermistor open/short
- Cause:
- Faulty inlet pipe sensor
- Action:
- Replace inlet pipe thermistor.
CH03
Wired remote controller communication error
- Cause:
- RC cable / PCB fault
- Action:
- Check RC cable polarity and replace if needed.
CH04
Float switch / drain pump fault
- Cause:
- Drain trip
- Action:
- Clear drain, test pump and float.
CH05
Indoor ↔ outdoor communication error
- Cause:
- Open interconnect or PCB fault
- Action:
- Verify F1/F2 wiring and 24 V comms.
CH06
Indoor outlet pipe thermistor open/short
- Cause:
- Faulty outlet pipe sensor
- Action:
- Replace outlet pipe thermistor.
CH07
Indoor units mode mismatch
- Cause:
- Cooling/heating conflict on multi system
- Action:
- Set all indoor units to same mode.

Indoor EEPROM error
- Cause:
- Indoor PCB EEPROM corrupt
- Action:
- Replace indoor PCB.

Indoor fan motor (BLDC) lock
- Cause:
- Stalled / failed fan motor
- Action:
- Test fan and feedback signal.

Inverter compressor IPM fault / overcurrent
- Cause:
- Locked rotor, IPM failure
- Action:
- Megger compressor, replace inverter PCB.

Compressor CT (high current) trip
- Cause:
- Compressor overload
- Action:
- Check charge and condenser airflow.

DC link low voltage
- Cause:
- Mains supply or rectifier fault
- Action:
- Measure supply and DC bus.

Compressor position sensing error
- Cause:
- Inverter PCB or compressor wiring
- Action:
- Re-seat compressor leads, test inverter.

PSC / PFC circuit error
- Cause:
- Inverter PFC failure
- Action:
- Replace inverter PCB.

Discharge pipe temperature high
- Cause:
- Low charge, EEV stuck
- Action:
- Check charge, EEV, Td sensor.

Compressor discharge sensor (D-pipe) fault
- Cause:
- Open / short Td sensor
- Action:
- Replace Td sensor.

Outdoor air thermistor fault
- Cause:
- Open / short OAT sensor
- Action:
- Replace OAT thermistor.

Outdoor coil (mid) thermistor fault
- Cause:
- Open / short coil sensor
- Action:
- Replace coil thermistor.

Communication error (indoor → outdoor)
- Cause:
- Comms cable issue
- Action:
- Check F1/F2 wiring.

Outdoor EEPROM error
- Cause:
- Outdoor PCB EEPROM fault
- Action:
- Replace outdoor PCB.
